Senior Manager, Patient-Centered Research

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Patient Centered Research to join our team and lead patient-centered research aimed at delivering effective patient access solutions and generating impactful real-world evidence (RWE). This role focuses on designing, implementing, and analyzing research studies that prioritize the needs, experiences, and outcomes of patients.

In this role you will: 

  • Lead the design and end-to-end execution of client research studies to capture patient experiences, preferences, and outcomes.
  • Develop and validate tools such as surveys and questionnaires to measure patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and satisfaction.
  • Conduct data collection through patient interviews, focus groups, and other methods.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate patient insights into products and services.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in patient-centered research and contribute to thought leadership in the field.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at relevant conferences or forums.

WHAT WE EXPECT:

  • Education – Holds a master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, psychology, sociology, or related field.
  • Experience – Demonstrates 5+ years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including conducting surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data analysis to support patient access and RWE solutions. Additionally demonstrates success working with the life sciences industry, preferentially medical affairs, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Clinical Research and Development (R&D), or patient engagement teams.
  • Expertise – Possesses in-depth expertise of qualitative research, mixed-methods research, and survey data analysis, as well as using patient-centered research methodologies, including but not limited to the following:
    • Unmet Needs & Burden of Illness Studies
    • Patient Preference Studies / /Discrete Choice Experiments (DCE)
    • Patient Journey Mapping
    • Value-Based Outcomes Studies
    • Shared-Decision Studies
    • Adherence and Persistence Studies
    • Social Media Listening / Discourse Analysis
    • Digital Ethnographic Studies
  • Technical – Brings expertise with clinical research-focused platforms and data visualization tools (e.g., SAS, Stata, R). Familiarity with healthcare claims and electronic health records (EHRs) is a plus.
  • Communication – Excels in leading consultative and deliverable experiences (e.g., PowerPoint presentations) with clients, as well as evidence dissemination activities (e.g., publications).
  • Adaptability – Shows flexibility in navigating changing priorities and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational – Is highly organized with strong attention to detail and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
