Associate Director of Ad Operations

Our Client Delivery team is seeking an Associate Director of Ad Operations to lead the successful trafficking, optimization, and performance of digital advertising campaigns across Inspire’s platform. This role will be hands-on in Google Ad Manager (GAM) and responsible for ensuring ads are delivered accurately, efficiently, and at scale.
WHAT WE NEED
Lead day-to-day ad operations for all digital advertising campaigns, ensuring timely setup, trafficking, QA, and launch using Google Ad Manager (GAM). Responsible for setting up and managing ad campaigns in the ad server. This includes the meticulous tasks of uploading creative assets, setting targeting parameters, and ensuring that campaigns go live as scheduled and deliver based on contracted goals. Manage full campaign lifecycles from trafficking and QA to pacing, monitoring, and reporting on 20+ campaigns
- Oversee the trafficking of digital ad campaigns across various channels and formats, ensuring accurate setup, targeting, and delivery.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to ad serving, tracking, and data discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Partner with Client Services and Sales to support campaign execution and reporting needs.
- Generate and analyze campaign data and performance reports across multiple sources to assess campaign performance, and identify trends, insights, and areas for optimization.
- Track campaign delivery to ensure accurate pacing, on-time execution, and performance against KPIs.
- Communicate campaign status, delivery, and performance metrics to internal stakeholders.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of ad serving tags (e.g., Google AdManager, third-party ad servers), analytics tags (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and other tracking pixels to ensure accurate campaign measurement and reporting.
- Work closely with media buying teams, analytics teams, and sales teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and alignment with client goals.
- Identify opportunities to streamline ad operations workflows and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay informed on industry standards and best practices in ad operations.
- Document best practices, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to process improvements across Ad Operations.
WHAT WE EXPECT
- EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years of experience in digital ad operations, including direct experience with trafficking and optimizing in Google Ad Manager (GAM); At least two+ years in an agency or publisher environment with media-planning responsibilities (ideally within the pharmaceutical industry) is a plus.
- TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: Deep understanding of ad serving, tracking, programmatic delivery, and audience targeting.
- PRECISION: Exceptional attention to detail, quality control, and executional accuracy.
- ANALYTICAL: Comfort analyzing data, identifying issues, and recommending optimizations.
- COMMUNICATION: Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- INDEPENDENCE: Thrives under pressure and tight delivery time frames. Capable of owning campaign implementation and scaling operations with minimal oversight.
- TOOLS: Knowledge and familiarity with DMPs, DSPs, tag managers, third-party measurement platforms (Crossix, Iqvia, Comscore) and analytics tools is a plus.
